Back in 2005 Tyler Perry dressed up like an old woman named Madea and made millions of dollars, and he's been doing it ever sense. I can't fault anyone for that. Well I personally am not a fan, I prefer him when he's a serious actor, he's good at it and expanded the Madea character into a horror film. Well it made money and now he's back for round 2
Boo 2 A Madea Halloween, or as I call it, scare an old woman to death 2. In a follow up to the first film Madea's niece Tiffany who has just turned 18 wants to attend yet another Halloween frat party. Here mom allows it, but after the events of Boo part one the frat in question is having this year's party at Derek Lake campsite, ala Camp Crystal Lake.
Of course there are the usual scary rumors that the place is haunted because years ago the counselors we're all butchered by a crazed maniac who may still be at large. Madea finds out and she and her friends go to save Tiffany.
Things are afoot at the lake as a group of masked killers and a ghost that resembles the girl from The Ring begin stalking and taking the kids. Luckily for them Madea and freinds have arrived to battle the evil killers who appear to be real this time.
I personally liked this film. I turned my brain off and just watched it as a mindless horror comedy and laughed quiet a bit. My favorite part is wen Madea is at the police station and notices her wanted poster on the wall. Plus the fact of an old woman battling killers in a haunted campsite is a pretty good premise.
Lionsgate has once again done a good job on the transfer and added a few special features
“Caddy Whack Boo” Featurette
“Why We Love Joe!” Featurette
If your a fan you will love it, as it doesn't try to break the mold by any means. If your in the mood for a good goofy fun film then this will work for you as well.
