When Last House on the Left hit audiences we're treated to countless films made in the same vein. All of them were lacking the general feel Last House had, but a few of them did manage to produce a really good performance out of the psychotic bad guy who would always seem to torture the helpless female Trip with the Teach has one such bad guy in Zalman King who plays Al, the leader of a small gang of bikers, who basically saves this film by giving an over the top performance.
Trip with the Teacher is about Miss Tenny, she's the teacher in question. She's is taking 4 girls on a field trip through the California Desert. The bus breaks down, buy luckily enough a group of bikers show up and offer to use there bikes to tow it to a nearby garage. That garage in question turns out to be an old cabin where they kill the bus driver, and rape Miss Tenny. From there All begins having psychotic headaches and begins tormenting the girls.
The film, for as rough as it sounds is quiet tame in comparison to other drive in rape revenge films. There are a few killing, some nudity, a surprisingly good chase scene. This film has that dirty grindhouse feeling and once again the over the top performance of Al steals the show.
Vinegar Syndrome, one of my favorite companies, has once again managed to present a beautiful transfer on an obscure film. Trip looks and sounds fantastic. Plus they have it loaded with special features
