Before her descent into madness, Dr. Harleen Quinzel was a promising psychiatrist assigned to Arkham Asylum, Gotham's home for the criminally insane. But after meeting the Joker, the young doctor became obsessed with the crazed criminal's warped mind. Sensing opportunity, the Joker manipulated her, driving his therapist so mad that he was able to control her. Harleen fell in love with the villain, broke him out of Arkham and devoted her life to making him happy and spreading his bloody brand of mayhem
Athletic, agile and dangerously unpredictable in a fight, Harley Quinn is a formidable opponent in her own right. She is willing to do anything in order to further the Clown Prince of Crime's goals—no matter the cost to anyone else or even herself. Her energetic, affable and animated personality is enough to make almost anyone drop their guard—a mistake that could easily cost them their life. Deranged and psychotic, Harley Quinn is the poster girl for chaos' terrifying allure.
Harley Quinn is my favorite female comic book villain of all time. She is my wife’s favorite comic character by far. In fact my wife has a large amount of Harley Quinn statues, cloths, purses, jackets, pants, shoes, you name it. Now I personally prefer the classic Jester look of Harley but the Suicide Squad version is cool too. This review covers the brand new Suicide Squad Harley Quinn that was portrayed by Margot Robbie in the film.
Starting with the face you can see this is a perfect match for Margot. The cheekbones, red lips, villainess smile its all here. It’s a dead ringer. If you notice you can tell it’s a flesh colored design that has the white makeup over it. Even the teeth are individually done. The eyes have the pink and blue smeared makeup below and partially around them while the head is slightly tipped at an angle. From the chin to the eyebrows it’s a dead ringer. The ears are done in a slightly more pinkish color with the gold hoop earring in full effect. The hair has the part and comes down the sides of the face in the trademark pigtails. The left pigtail has the pink coloring at the bottom, while the right has the baby blue keeping it true to the film version. The gold necklace is painted incredibly bright and shines in the light, which also helps to show the makeup contract between the fane and neck. It’s a very nice added touch to give this piece depth. My only issue is the hair, while etched to make it look real seems a bit rushed. It’s not as meticulous as some of their other pieces. It looks like it should I just wish it would have had a bit more details added to it.
The top of the body is accurate with the red and white “Daddy’s Lil Monster” shirt being covered up by the sating red and blue baseball jacket. The jacket has the bright speckled look which I really like as it just stands out. The zipper, as well as the gold lining around the jacket is there as well The shirt is a dirty white with the red top, and if you look you can see how the shirt is even etched to be wrinkled under the jacket which it sculpted to be lifted a bit on the sides as Harley has he arms slightly up. The body design is sculpted to give it the real film look. Everything about it is right on the money.
Moving down you can see her trademark studded belt. Its scuffed and shaded to give it a dirty worn out look. The gold studs are shiny however to make it stand out. Also note the bottom of Harley’s shirt. Very dirty with holes exposing parts of her skin. If you look closely you can see the holes in the shirt were sculpted to give it a true wrinkled look that bunches up in areas. The wrinkles are shaded and sculpted throughout with the dirty areas being almost smeared. It’s scary how real it looks. You can not only see Harleys tines short shorts which are painted red and blue with the speckly design mixed in to match the jacket but her fishnet stockings as well. Before I get to the stocking you can see “”Lucky You” tattoo above her waist line coming out her slightly lifted shirt. The stockings look great and you can see the skin tone on the legs as well as accents of where her knees are bent to give it a realistic pose. And yes her tattoos are visible and individually done to match her film character. They are, on her right foot a heart (has Mr J in the center) that says Puddin above it, day line marks, a jester head, “I’ll wait forever”. The left leg has I (heart sign) puddin, Harley + Puddin, her trademark triangles “Let me tell you a sekret” and another heart. There not blurred, they were all painted on to match exactly.
From this side shot you can see the blue and gold side of the jacket which is a bright and bold color that really pops out. Her dirty red fingerless glove with the black lines is exceptionally well done as ear finger is sculpted and bent to make it look all the more real. She has her gold spiked bracelet and you can see the cuff of the jacket below it, which is sculpted with the lines going down to show where it would be stitched, and it even has the two gold lines painted on the top and bottom. Her purse hangs down via the chain handle and its actually really wrapped around her arm. It’s a crafted chain that dangles a her small studded silver purse. Its just hanging from her hand so it’s a separate piece that was hung from her hand. It’s a fabulous touch showing that extra effort Diamond Select goes to when making these.
The other side features her bat. Once again each finger is done separate, and you can see the blue and red alternating fingernail polish. This jacket side has the bright red side with the gold stripping. The bat is done to look like really old dirty beaten up wood. Its shredded in spotted, dented, tattered, you name it. It has the “Lights out” painted on it, her trademark diamonds, and her nusery ryme and babble. For those wondering what it says, here you go.

The base is a simple piece of rubble that’s etched in different colors of black and grey. It looks really nice and the dirty look of it really shows off the brightness in her high top almost boot style white, red, and black sneakers. There’s a split in the shoes where you can see her stockings, and her laces are done separately to give it a realistic look.
This is a great Harley Quinn statue to add to your collection. As I stated I have lots of Harley Quinn stuff so there was a home for her right away. It’s a great piece from Diamond Select that you should pick up right away.
Overall 4.5 out of 5 Stars!
