A Diamond Select Release! Thanos, the "Mad God" of Titan, is perhaps best known for his lust and desire to please his dark mistress, the human embodiment of Death. In her name, he has destroyed countless worlds and snuffed out millions of lives. With the cosmically-charged Infinity Gauntlet in his grasp, Thanos nearly wiped out every living being in the universe, and would have succeeded if not for the intervention of some of the Marvel Universe's greatest heroes! With 14 points of articulation, the Thanos figure is a detailed representation of the villainous legend, complete with a removable "Infinity Gauntlet" and a scale unarticulated Death figure.
This figure is big. Not as big as Hulk, but Big. Heavy, tall, and wide this Thanos figure is truly not only comic, but movie accurate as well. It’s a durable figure that can take a heck of a beating, and dish one out as well. Packaged in the clear covered blister card you can see the THANOS Name going down the left side with the giant print of his head on the bottom left. The background of the card is the Infinity Gauntlet comic book art splash. Thanos is packed fully visible with his Infinity Gauntlet on the top right side, and a figure (Non Articulate) of Death package to his left. All fully displayed with the tab on the card to hang if you don’t want to open.
Once you remove the ungodly amount of tape and bands, and those stupid twist ties you have a pretty amazing figure. Very big and stiff. He moves in all the main spots. Legs, feet, hand, and arms all bend, the waist bens, as does the head. The head looks great. Purple with the white spaced teeth and the “nut-sack” chin growling while the eyes are clenched into a steel like glare. Everything is etched and shaded in. The helmet like the entire costume is the bright blue and gold. You can see all of the over exaggerated muscles popping from underneath the outfit.
The Infinity Gauntlet can be put on his hand, simply just pop the removable hand off his arm and your set. It doesn’t snap but it looks perfect. Wrinkled, and etched, and battle worn gold with shading, it features all of the Infinity Stones. Its neat how you can remove it and have it as a separate piece so that way the heroes can try to get it from him during play. My son uses it to hit people with when the figures are going at in in his wrestling ring.
No base for Thanos just this death figure with changeable face that doesn’t move. It looks really cool, but doesn’t really serve a purpose if your not displaying it. I mean you can play with it but it doesn’t move, so it pretty much just gets thrown around.
Overall this is a big hulking (no pun intended) figure it beats up most of the other figures. Cool looking to display and very cool to play with. My only issue is that, like the Hulk its so massive it moves tighter than the others making some beat down poses tricky to pull off. Other than that it’s a great toy for kid and a great piece for collectors.
Overall 3.5 out of 5 Stars!
