Bag Boy Lover Boy Review

7/26/2017

Picture

A few days ago I looked at my wife and said "you know we haven't watched any weird in a while now" Fast forward a few days and I receive Bag Boy Lover Boy from my friends over at Severin Films.
Bag Boy Lover Boy is the strange tale of a lonely man named Albert. Albert is a withdrawn somewhat slow young man who has a night job as a hot dog vendor. While selling hot dogs he begins to notice that the women in the area are greatly attracted to photographers.

The self proclaimed most successful photographer is Ivan who take a liking to Albert, and his rather simpleton look and tell him he can teach him about art, therefore helping him pick up women in return for posing for him.

Albert jumps at the chance and finds himself posing of rather odd and graphic s & m style photos. When Ivan goes out of town Albert decides to use all that he has learned to lure girls into taking photos with him. Unfortunately as Albert is not all there he also kills them.

This is one strange film, a mix of David Lynch and something you would see from Cannon Pictures. Keep in mind I'm not saying that like it's a bad thing, in fact it's a pretty well done film in a slasher/artsy sort of way.

Severin has again done a great job on the transfer as the video and audio is fantastic. They even added a few special features

Audio Commentary With Director Andres Torres, Actor Theodore Bouloukos and Editor Charlie Williams
*The Student Films of Actor Jon Wachter: GOT LIGHT and THE NEVER-STARTING STORY
*Trailer
Although by no means is this film for everyone horror fans looking for something different should enjoy.
Overall 2.5 out of 5 Stars!
