Beyond The Darkness Blu-ray review

8/2/2017

Picture
Joe D'Amato is on of my favorite Italian Filmakers. I always enjoyed his horror films. A few of them were so vile and sexually explicit they became very sought after durring the video tape trading boom of the 90s. One title was Beyond The Darkness
Beyond The Darkness is the story of Frank. Frank is a taxidermist who's wife has just passed away from a serious yet mysterious illness. The illness in question was actually a voodoo curse put upon her by there housekeeper, who Frank is having an affair with.

But Frank does still love his dead wife, so much he digs her up so he can fill her up like one of the animals he does his taxidermy on. That way he can have her whenever he wants.

He also wants to have sex WTH lots of women and kill them as well. Luckily Iris (his houskeeper) has no problem helping him.

Violent, graphic murders, torture, sex, breath feeding, skin eating, disembowling, this one has it all. Throw in a score from Goblin and you have a film that would turn Lucio Fulcis stomach.

This film is vile to say the least and not for everyone. Severin Films has put this out for the first time fully uncut and uncensored on Blu-ray and layered it with special features

Joe D’Amato: The Horror Experience
The Omega Woman: Interview With Actress Franca Stoppi (17 Minutes)
Goblin Reborn Perform Buio Omega Live 2016
Locations Revisited
Sick Love – An Interview With Actress Cinzia Monreale
Trailer
CD Soundtrack Blu-ray exclusive)

Horror and gore fans will definitely enjoy.

Overall 2.5 out if 5 Stars.
