Occupation Blu-ray Review

9/16/2018

Picture
What do a waitress, a road worker, an ex-con, a farmer, and a hand full of random townsfolk from Australia have in common? That's easy, they all run off to hide in the woods when Aliens attack earth.

The group of people set up a base of operations and even accumulate a nice little cache of weapons to try and fight off this alien menace. Now where as in the big budget Independence Day these aliens actually leave their space ships.

Decked out in armor the aliens have come here for our resources. Water, crops, and clean air have lead them here as they have depleted their own planets resources. The have taken humans as slaves to work for them. The aliens can live on Earth as they are like us in the sense they breath the same oxygen. It's very much like the classic. sci-fi masterpiece "V"

The humans resistance battle these invaders with guns, bombs, the whole nine yards. While not made with a multi million dollar budget the film works with what it has. Practical effects, and old school action set pieces.

Occupation is a bit long for what it is, but that's doesn't really hurt the film as the characters a very likable. Imagine Red Dawn mixed with Independence Day and you essentially have Occupation. And trust me that's a good thing.

Overall 3 out 5 Stars
