Shameless Season 8 DVD Review

The following DVD set was provided to me by Warner Brothers for review. Thoughts and opinions are my own.

Shameless for the uninitiated is a hour long dramedy that airs on the Showtime Network. It's based off the British show of the same name.  It stars William H. Macy as Frank Gallagher, a single father of six who spends much of his free time drinking at bars. The Gallagher children -- led by oldest daughter Fiona (Emmy Rossum), who takes on much of the child-rearing responsibility due to her mother's absence -- manage to raise themselves in spite of Frank's lack of parenting and unusual parenting style when he does choose to act like a father. 

The complete 8th season was another winner. The Standout plots for me were Carl dealing with his new psycho bride as he try's to leave to go back to military school.  Frank using his Blue-collar skills to seduce the rich single moms at Liam' school, and Kevin trying to be more dominating to women.

The cast is fantastic and the chemistry is nothing short of brilliant. As sad as things can get for the family the show is never far off from a laugh. 

Even now in it's 8th season the show has never been better
This set contains all the episodes from the 8th season. If your a fan you will no doubt want to add this to your collection. If you have never seen Shameless I urge you to pick up all 8 seasons and start binge watching.
