The Flash Lego Movie Review

3/8/2018

Picture
The following Blu-ray was provided to me by Warner Brothers for review. Thoughts and opinions are my own

I didn't like the Lego Movie. I found it very boring, and hard to sit through. So when I heard a Flash Lego Movie was coming out I wasn't exactly excited. But I love the Flash, as does my son so we popped it on, and really enjoyed it.

Taking the Flashpoint Paradox, and Flashpoint Rebirth story's and making them kid freindly. Our story finds the Flash caught in the speed force thanks to his Arch enemy The Reverse Flash. To explain the speed force to kids (and non comic book fans) it's basically like groundhog day. Flash is stuck in this time loop reliving each day with bad things happening each day.

Losing his powers, his job at the Justice league and more it manages to even teach a few lessons as the fastest man in the world sometimes even needs to slow down and not always rely in his powers.

Featuring the usual fantastic DC voice acting, and running a lean 80min the Lego Flash movie is a pretty good time. For a straight to DVD film the animation is done exceptionally well. It looks just like one of the big screen Lego films.

Fans of the Flash will get the throwbacks and references to the books and kids will no doubt enjoy this fun little film. Plus unlike The absolutely amazing Flashpoint Paradox, kids will understand this one.

Overall 3 out of 5 Stars
