 Everyone has heard me say how much I enjoy women in prison films. Hell all men do, they just don't have a website to talk about it. Reform School Girls is still my all time favorite, and I don't foresee that being changed anytime, but a close number two on my list is Violence in a Woman's Prison. It's an Italian film that goes by several different titles in America. The most prominently used are Caged Women, Emanuelle in Hell or Emanuelle Escapes from Hell. The film follows Emmanuelle (played by Laura Gemser) being locked up in a brutal woman's prison. Her wrap sheet says it's for prostitution, but in reality she is really a reporter going in undercover to expose the horrible brutal conditions in this prison. Her cellmate has a pet cockroach, and has been there for what seems like an eternity. She helps show Emanuel the ropes as she knows everything that's going on. Also, she meets a Dr. At the Men's prison across the street. Yes there is a men's prison right there, which helps explain a lot of the sex scenes in this one. And in terms of sleaze, this film has probably the most I've ever seen in one of these films. Catfights, sex, nudity, feces fights, violent humiliation, even rat torture. This film holds nothing back. Long sought-after since the VHS Tapes days Severin has finally given this a proper Blu-ray release. Presented fully uncut, this restored version looks amazing. Trashy, violent, and not for the easily offended, this is still one hell of a film that moves fast and is extremely entertaining. Definitely worth watching Overall 3 out of 5 Stars Comments are closed.
