So reviews for Kong Skull Island are pouring in today and for the most part they are all really good. Now one question everyone has about every movie now a days is if there is an after credit scene. Yes there is. Now if you want it to be a surprise stop reading if not, here it is
After the credits come to an end, we're back in an interrogation room with a two-way glass window in which sits the character played by Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson, who as you can guess, survived their ordeal on Skull Island. They're talking to someone on the other side of the glass who is telling them how the entire mission is classified, but when they demand answers, the two scientists played by Corey Hawkins and Jing Tian (also survivors), come into the room and tell them that they work for Monarch, the organization introduced in 2014's Godzilla that investigates large prehistoric monsters. (In the film, we learn from John Goodman's character that they're the real ones behind the mission to Skull Island as they're looking for prehistoric creatures that existed there.) The two scientists then tell them that Skull Island is only the first island that they found in the Pacific Ocean and that there are more monsters like Kong out there. They go onto show slides with redacted versions of what is obviously Mothra, Rodan and Ghidorah aka Monster X.
We all know that the next Godzilla movie promises to have more giant monsters and that in 2020 Kong and Godzilla will face off, so it sounds as though things are taking shape in a major, and rather awesome way!
