Mark Hamill on Saturday begged fans via his Twitter account to stay away from a vintage Star Wars comic that apparently has some Last Jedi spoilers inside.

"I'm begging you! For your own good-DO NOT READ this spoiler-laden comic book before Friday December15th 2017 You'll thank me later #Wait4VIII," Hamill wrote.

Is he joking? Perhaps. Or maybe he is trying to save fans from themselves.

Hamill's warning concerns issue #49 of the original Marvel Star Wars comic that began its run in 1977 and included an issue with the same title, The Last Jedi.

It is unclear what is in the issue; Heat Vision did not want the upcoming installment to be ruined.

Hamill has been asking fans to be patient for months as they have poked and prodded him on social media for any sliver of information on the highly anticipated film.

So far, there has been only one trailer for Last Jedi. Another will likely come in October. The recently released toy line for the film shed a tiny bit of light on new characters, but it wasn't much.

The Last Jedi is due out Dec. 15.
