Movies You Have Never Heard Of But Need To Watch: Immortal Combat

Okay so I figured it was time for another movies you never heard of but need to watch before you die. The movie I picked this time is called Immortal Combat

Now before I get into the plot of this film I've only got this one sentence to say which I know will make you want to watch it. Rowdy Roddy Piper and Sonny Chiba along with Zeus fight an army of zombie serial killers. That's right not only do you get Roddy Piper and Sonny Chiba together but they fight zombies serial killers is there anything out there that sounds more amazing than that concept? No!

See in the beginning we learned that Meg Foster that crazy blue / white eyed girl from They Live has the ability to create zombies but they listen to her so that's kind of a cool twist like they can't die cuz they're already dead but she knows how to resurrect them on this crazy Island.

One of her zombies is a serial killer and Rowdy Roddy Piper and Sonny Chiba are on the case of this particular killer. Now things go south right in the beginning when the to go undercover in a underground Fight Club House party where they have Intel the killer will be.

So while Piper is fighting undercover, well actually just kind of gets dragged into it you know bare Knuckles , and Sonny Chiba is fighting off other bad guy guards with a sword the serial killer strikes again and kills an undercover cop.

Because of all these shenanigans both guys are put on leave of absence from the force. But that's not going to stop hot rod Rowdy Roddy Piper as he decides to go off to this island, how he found out about it is beyond me but he goes there to see what's going on. When he's on the boat traveling to said Island he runs into Zeus you know from no-holds-barred Fame.

So when they get to the island that's when Piper finds out oh crap there's a whole Army of the undead being raised to be a group of killers so Sunny Chiba has got to come back to help him That's really the whole plot of the film and Roddy Piper does all his wrestling moves Sonny Chiba does all the martial arts moves I mean what more do you need.

It's a great movie. I rented it in the 90s as a straight to video VHS. You can buy it nowadays on DVD, and it's a great movie. You've got Roddy Piper doing wrestling moves, Chiba doing martial arts, weird eyed Meg Foster. It's absolutely fantastic. Watch the trailer then get the film.
