There's another big change coming to The CW's Arrow-verse.
Wentworth Miller revealed that he is exiting the younger-skewing network's DC Comics-inspired Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash.
"Currently shooting some of my final episodes as 'Captain Cold/Leonard Snart' on the CW's Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash. Grateful — now and in advance — to a pair of talented casts and hardworking crews … Thank you. … I've had a tremendous time playing this character. … It's been an opportunity, an education and a f-cking blast," he wrote over the weekend in a post on Instagram.
Miller has played the comic book character since recurring on The Flash. He eventually was one of multiple high-profile guest stars to be spun off into Legends of Tomorrow, where he was a series regular in season one. More recently, the actor reworked his deal to have a recurring role on all of the Arrow-verse shows. Under that pact, he has recurred on Legends.
Miller's upcoming exit comes at a key time for Legends, which in its current third season is poised to say farewell to Victor Garber. Garber will return to Broadway and exit his role as Martin Stein/Firestorm. Garber, like Miller, was an original series regular on Legends.
The CW and producers Warner Bros. Television did not return requests for comment on Miller's exit.
The Legends collaboration with Dominic Purcell also led to Fox's Prison Break revival. The door on the latter remains open to another season pending an idea from producers.
