This bit of news is sure to excite the horror fans out there, as Will Patton has a ton of acting credits to his name. This further proves how seriously Blumhouse is taking the new Halloweenmovie, as Patton joins the likes of Jamie Lee Curtis and Judy Greer in the starring cast. Every horror movie needs a local cop, an Patton will be playing just that-- although the name of his character hasn't been revealed.
The Tracking Board's news of Will Patton's casting helps fill out the starring cast of the new Halloween movie. Just this week a bevy of teenage actors were cast, who Michael Meyers will no doubt be stalking and cutting down on his mission to reunite with Curtis' Laurie Strode. The original scream queen is back, but she's probably going to need help to survive Michael's next attack.
The new Halloween movie is being co-written by Danny McBride and will be directed by David Gordon Green. The upcoming film will ignore all of the franchise's sequels, and pick up 40 years after the original film. We'll meet a new version of Laurie Strode, and see how she's coped with her harrowing attack as a teenager. Additionally, her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) will be injected into the narrative, as the Strode women unite and attempt to survive another attack by the boogyman.
